What is it that you will be doing for me?
Everything that most people don't have time to do. Investigating local companies to find the best companies for your project. Researching each of those companies to find up to 3 that most meets your needs for planning, budgeting, quality and job completion timing. Helping you to put your vision onto paper/disc by giving you professionally designed computer generated color drawings of your project. We also negotiate price and extras with the selected companies to get you the best pricing.
We created this company because we found that most people take so long to get started with home improvement projects because they don't have time to do all of the foot work that such a project requires.
Who has time to make 3 appointments with 3 different companies (salesmen at that) and at 3 separate times. Then, how do you know that those are the companies that meet your project needs? What if they just happen to be the 3 worst companies out there? Once you get past all of that how do you know what a good deal is? Or what the better product is? You give them the sketch of your vision and they try to tell you why it is not possible or why you need more. Just like the typical salesman. Who really has time for all of that?
We do! That is what this is all about. We take all of that aggravation away from you and put the burden on us. We work for you to get you what you want, for the price(or less)you want, in the time you want it and with the quality you expect. Regardless of which bid you pick each will meet your project needs so that you will feel confident that you made an educated decision in selecting the company that fit your project the best.

What do I have to do?
You will set up one appointment(not 3) with one of our design consultants (not a salesman). Give us the details including your desired budget of your project. Provide us with a copy of your survey if needed. Allow us to measure the area of your project. Review and approve your drawings. Review the 3 project bids that we provide to you (bid will include: BBB report, references, pics if applicable, pricing, deposit schedule, extras offered, current average completion time, any other details necessary for you to make a decision on your project). In the privacy of your own home and with out the hassles of a salesman you will then be able to make an educated decision on which company will get the job to make your visions into a reality. You then meet with the company to sign your contract. That's It!

What will it cost me?
There is no charge for the initial appointmet. But, if you decide to hire us to find you a suitable company for your project there is a one time fee of $200.(Good For 1 Year From Hire Date) NOTE: FOR MULTIPULE PROJECTS THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL $25.00 FEE FOR EACH CATEGORY. You would not owe any additional fees or charges to My Dream Backyard, LLC. and may use our services for your selected categories as many times as you like for the entire year at no additional charge. If you select a different category from that which you have already paid for the only charges due would be the $25 for that category.

When do I pay your service fee?
We prefer the service fee to be paid in full at the time of hire.

Can the service fee be split into payments?
Yes, we will split the service fee into 2 installments. The first installment of $100 (plus $25.00 each additional category for multipule projects) is due at the time of hire. The second installment of $100 will be due before we release the bid offers to you.

Will I be charged any additional fees if I decide not to go through with my project?
No. After the $200 (and payment for multiple projects if applicable) there are no other charges due by you and your drawings and information are yours to keep.

Will I ever have to meet with a salesman or have to negotiate on my own?
Yes you will have to meet with a salesman or representative of your chosen company in order to sign your contract. We will have negotiated your final price for contract but when you meet you may find that you want to make changes or deletions and at that point the negotiation for those items is up to you. But, we will be more than happy to assist before you sign on the dotted line.

Does My Backyard, LLC. participate in the actual project?
No. Once you choose your company and sign your contract our job is done. But, we do want our clients to keep in touch with us about the project or atleast the completion. We would like to keep our company database up to date and weed out companies that may not meet the original expectations.

Can I get a refund of your service fee?
You would only be entitled to a refund in the event we did not provide our services to you. For example: (1)Somehow you were able to pay our fee in advance online prior to the initial appointment and then we never showed up.(2)You paid the fee and then never received or heard anything more from us.(minimum 14 business days)

Do you have any specials or discounts?
Yes. We always honor the buddy referral system. If you refer a customer to us that hires us we will pay you $50. Those payments are sent out to you within 3 days of us being hired by the referral.
At the time of hire all new customers will receive a vacation package voucher of their choice. (value = up to $1,200)

What types of payment do you accept?
Currently we accept cash, check, mastercard, visa or paypal.

How long will it take before I get a drawing back?
Usually within 1-3 days we will send the drawing to you by your preferred method. The best way to receive your drawing is by e-mail but we can also send by fax, standard mail or personally deliver it.

After I approve my drawing when will I get my bids?
Once we receive a final approved drawing we will go to work to get you a minimum of 3 bids within 72 hours. For bigger projects or multiple projects it may take 5-7 days.

How long will I have to make a decision once I receive the bids?
Most bids are good for 30 days. Timing may depend on specials that are included in your bid or incentives negotiated on your behalf for a quick close. At the time you are given the bids you will be made aware of any deadlines that may exist. Most clients can usually decide within 5 days.

Is there a a 3 day right of recission with the company I pick?
A 3 day right of recission is required by law in any contract for a home improvement project. One area that it may/may not apply would be for a play structure or possibly a detached or portable cabana/shed.
We will inform you of this with your bid.

Do you provide financing resources?
Yes. It usually depends on your project. Some companies offer their own financing or incentives if you use their financing source for your project. That would be included in your bid information.
We do have several of our own home improvement loan resources available and can provide a list of those on request or can work out your financing through our Mortgage Branch.
